the one... with paint charts

I took a drive to the local Bunning a couple of weeks back and picked up small pile of paint charts.

This is probably one of the biggest decisions I will make for the cottage.

After sifting through the charts for days on end trying to narrow the pile down. I finally got it down to just 2 paint charts.

I took another trip to Bunnings and picked up a sample pot of each.  As soon as I got home I went to the garage and grabbed the paint brush.

I was soooo excited to get the colours up and see how they looked.

I started with the garage on both the South and East facing walls.  These walls are brand new and have never had paint on them before so the colours show up really well.  I did paint a few patches around the house but painting grey on a blue house doesn't really show up very well in a photo.  I also painted the new front stairs.

With the front of the house facing South I wanted to make sure I selected a warm grey so the cottage didn't look cold from the front.

The grey with a nice crisp white for the windows and trims will hopefully give the house a clean fresh look.

Honestly I can't wait for the painter to start.
