ohhhhh my I love it when the new Ikea 2014 catalogue is out!

It's officially instores on the 9th September but you can head over to Ikea now and view it online.

I was thinking of driving down there this weekend but I might hold off - need to have time to go through the catalogue first.

the one... with some healthy choices

I have been trying to make a real effort to eat more healthy - clean eating is more accurate.

On instagram I have found some really inspiration people who very kindly share their recipies, tips and ideas on how to eat and live a more clean life.

The daily check in on instagram (who am I kidding, it's several times a day) helps me stay motivated and gives me lots of great ideas.

and that's just a few.

I now find myself making granola which is so simple to make and I love that I can cater it to my own tastes.  I love nuts and seeds but limit the amount of dried fruits like pomegranates and sultanas.

Just this week I tried the Banana and Coconut Bread over on The Healthy Chef website and it was very yummy!

It's funny how saying it's a lifestyle choice rather than a diet makes you look at it differently.

the one... with new blogger templates

I have two new blogger templates now available over at the shop.

The first is Eloise in a soft peachy with mint blue/green social media icons - so soft a lovely.

The other Intention is black and white and strikingly BOLD.

I can't tell you how excited I am at this new venture - scary but exciting!

the one... with an afternoon in the sun

 

If you follow me over at Instagram you would have seen these pics.

It was a beautiful Sunday recently I was driving back across the bridge near home when I noticed the tide was out and saw lots of people out on the sand.  This is the perfect time to get out onto the bay with no fear of the tide or sharks getting you.

I got home and changed into a tee and shorts, grabbed the cap and packed a little bag for Charlie - yes I'm one of those puppy mums.

I drove back across the bridge and headed out onto the sand.

I'll admit there were a few squishy bits of sand that was sooo yucky under foot but once you got past that it was fine.

At one point I watched Charlie cross one section of water where it reached his tummy and I could see the look on his face that he wanted to turn around but couldn't quite make it with the current taking him (every so slowly) in the opposite direction - so I had to rescue the wet puppy!

I had such a nice afternoon wondering around and through the water - I'll be keeping my eye on the tide from now on.

the one with... a new venture

I know I have been pretty quiet on the blog lately and there are a few reasons for that.

I have been back from my Paris trip for over nine weeks now and it took me a while to get back into the swing of a normal life.  After such a wonderful holiday I really didn't feel like doing any diy around the house.

That has now changed.

I have been working on a few projects around the cottage which I will share with you real soon - promise.

One BIG project I have been working on and one that I very excited to share with you is that I have opened my very first Etsy shop.
